The results of the survey

iTo explain the current development strategy for agro-food system of Russia, including its innovative capabilities and the ways of agricultural industry modernization, it is important to identify both common prevailing conditions and factors presented in the majority of European countries and the country-specific features predetermining special achievements or restrictions for the development of their agro-food sectors.

However, as shown by the survey carried out by the project participants, in the Russian Federation (in particular, in the Republic of Mordovia) there is a very low public awareness of the EU agricultural policy and its role in ensuring global food security. We based our analysis on a random sample of the Mordovia Republic urban population at the age from 18 to 65. A typical (stratified) selection has been undertaken, where the statistical characteristics for the respondents are: gender, age, income level, and educational level.
